Providing a safe environment for all children
Hawthorn Early Years is committed to providing a safe environment for children we have a zero tolerance for child abuse. Hawthorn Early Years will create an environment where the health, safety and well being of all children attending the Service, is assured. The Service has systems to protect children from abuse, and will take all allegations and concerns very seriously and responds to them consistently in line with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
All educators will be trained and supported to execute timely and effective intervention for children and young people who may be at risk of abuse or neglect. All educators will be suitably qualified and trained to supervise and protect the children in their care.
The Service actively works to listen to and empower children and is committed to promoting cultural safety for Aboriginal children, cultural safety for children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability.
